"Some of tbe races I had the most fun at were with Barry lamb. We have had some of the most fun running side by side or nose to tail lap after lap and when its over we would jump out of our cars and go to the other drivers pit and throw up a high five just because it was so fun."

On October 25, 2008, John B. Heffernon, Jr. was involved in a single car rollover accident at Heartland Park Topeka, KS. The car hooked a rut in the middle of turns one and two which caused him to barrel roll into the wall. John passed away on Friday, Nov. 7, 2008. Our prayers go out to the Heffernon family for the loss of a son, father, brother, husband and friend.

John will be greatly missed by the Midwest Outlaw Lightning Sprints Family.
